From its humble beginnings, Hobie has expanded and diversified its interests. The company’s foray into kayaks has fostered a vast, global community of kayak fishing enthusiasts, nurturing a vision of bringing these anglers together. Inspired by the resounding success of the sailing world championships, the inaugural Hobie Fishing World Championship took shape and was fiercely contested in 2011.
All nine world championships have proven to be remarkable tournaments, characterized by intense competition and demanding tests of skill. However, they have also been marked by an abundance of excitement, rich cultural experiences, and unparalleled camaraderie.
