I'm a long time multi species kayak angler. I've fished from every possible platform, but for the last 17 years my platform of choice has been a Hobie Kayak.
I fish year round for my favorite fish, striped bass. During the summer I cruise the beaches and rock piles at night looking for trophy bass, in the winter I'll brave the icy water for a chance to find a few of the resident Boston fish.
Stripers aren't the only game in town, offshore cod, or inshore flounder, fluke, or false albacore keep me busy.
When I don't have time for a trip to the salt, I drop the Hobie in freshwater. I love being able to explore new lakes in the Hobie, I often go through a lake and try to catch as many different species as possible.
I write the monthly Kayak Corner column in the Northeast edition of On the Water magazine.
