John Hostalka

John Hostalka is the definition of a multi-species Kayak Angler. "Fishstalka" as his friends call him, enjoys chasing everything from Redfish in the salt marsh to snakehead in the lilypads to King Mackerel offshore. He fishes extensively in the Chesapeake Bay region but has kayak fished throughout the Eastern Seaboard. He has been drawn towards water since he was first born. He grew up in, on, and around the ponds, creeks, rivers, and reservoirs of upstate South Carolina. Since then he's come to call the unique waterways of the Chesapeake Bay region his home. He fishes, camps, and practically lives out of his Hobie Outback and has done so for the last decade. He has been a member of the Hobie Fishing team since 2017. His most recent adventure was a 14-day self-supported kayak fishing and camping tour spanning the entire length of the Chesapeake Bay.
