My friends call me Sarge, and fishing has been a lifelong passion, primarily in northern California. I’ve spent countless hours casting lines from the banks of Lake Mendocino, Lake Sonoma, Clearlake, and along the East Fork of the Russian River. In 2011, I ventured into kayak fishing shortly after returning home from Afghanistan, and it didn’t take long for me to become enamored with the sport.

Joining the Nor Cal Kayak Anglers (NCKA) in 2013 opened up new horizons as I started ocean fishing, targeting Lingcod and Rockfish. While I’ve been recently dedicated to pursuing largemouth and smallmouth bass, I still make it a point to enjoy the saltwater a few times each year.
