My name is William Wirt, my friends call me Sarge. I have been fishing for most of my life, mostly in northern California, primarily from the banks of Lake Mendocino, Lake Sonoma, Clearlake and the East Fork of the Russian River. I started fishing from a kayak about 12 years ago and I was hooked right away. Lately I have primarily focused on bass fishing, chasing largemouth and smallmouth bass, but I still manage to get out on the salt water a couple of times a year.

I retired from the military after serving over 25 years, the first 4 in Marine Corps. The last 21 years I served in the California Army National Guard as a Combat Engineer.
