Zachariah Clift

My name is Zach Clift and I first started kayak fishing when I was 17 in the late 90’s. I fish both freshwater and saltwater from my Hobie kayaks. I fish the local tournament scene in both Fresh and Salt. I am currently the Coordinator for the Central Ca Chapter of Heroes on the Water, a nationwide non profit that helps out Veterans and First Responders heal through on the water therapy and kayak fishing. I am one of the founding members and moderator for the Kayak Fishing for Beginners Facebook page, which is the largest non sales related kayak fishing page on FB with over 65,000 members. I am also a board member for the newly created Kayak Fishing for Beginners Non Profit.
I am the Director of the Central Coast Bass Bash kayak tournament, which is the only kayak bass tournament on the Central Coast of California. I am also the Co-Director for the Central Valley Kayak Fishing tournament series.
While I am not a big name tournament angler, I do have quite a strong social media following and I am fairly well known in the kayak fishing community on the West Coast and California. I try and always be the best ambassador for the sport that I can be. To me kayak fishing is not just a sport, it is a lifestyle that I fully immerse myself in. I regularly attend and present at all of the local sporting shows in my area and all the way up to Sacramento. I look forward to hopefully representing Hobie and Cope’s Tackle and Rod shop into the future and will strive to be the best team member and brand representative I can be.
