Growing up on the West Coast of Florida, I was on the water saltwater fishing every chance I had. This still holds true today, but now it is from my Hobie kayak. Over the past few years I have traveled all over the state of Florida kayak fishing to better my angling skills and to better understand the fisheries in those different regions of Florida from saltwater to freshwater

I have a true passion for fishing and conservation of our waters. I am a member and tournament committee member of one of the oldest fishing clubs in the world, The West Palm Beach Fishing Club. I have won many angling categories in their annual angling contest over the years, and was one fish short of being Angler of the Year that included offshore and inshore species. All from my kayak, where the rest of the field fish from flats boats to center consoles
I was invited to join our local kayak shops (Nautical Ventures), fishing team over three years ago, in turn approved to be part of the Hobie Fishing Team family.

I was given the opportunity to pass on my knowledge and love of fishing, collaborating with my kayak dealer (Nautical Ventures) and have held several kayak fishing seminars at the dealership on local kayak fishing tips and techniques, from catching Peacock Bass to fishing our local fall Mullet run and have seminars planned for 2023. This experience lead to me to being invited and honored of being one of the monthly guest speakers at the West Palm Fishing Club. From this opportunity , I was then invited to be a guest speaker at another local fishing cub(Stuart Rod and Reel Club) located In Stuart Florida

I entered the Kayak Fishing tournaments scene several years ago starting out fishing the Extreme Kayak Fishing tournament series. This series includes offshore kayak fishing for sailfish , offshore species (tuna, Mahi, Kingfish) and a freshwater peackcock bass tournament. From there I have entered several small redfish and Bass tournaments in the state of Florida, then fishing the 2023 Florida Redfish Series. I have placed in the top 5 of several tournaments and have won biggest fish in several as well. I am currently in 7th for AOY in the 2023 Florida Redfish Series.

As a Veteran of the United States Army, I have volunteered with several charitable Kayak organizations such as Hero’s on the water as a guide and continue to do so when needed.

Not a day goes by when I am kayak fishing, that I am not approached by people curious about my kayak or kayak fishing. It makes me happy to share my passion with others and to answer and guide them on their questions. When ever families with kids ask me about my kayak or kayaking fishing, I make sure to spend extra time as they are our future, and will always have them leave with a lure or two or stickers.

With my love and passion of Kayak Fishing, I strive to be an ambassador of the sport and a champion of conservation of our waters.
