Event Info

The Hobie BOS is coming to the California Delta, arguably the most famous frog pattern body of water in the United States! Our participants will be treated to amazing fishing during a strong tidal phase in the delta. The new moon will create a lot of current throughout the body of water and get even the most sluggish river bass to jump on a frog fished on top of matted grass.  Come fish for the money or the fish of a lifetime!

Check the Hobie BOS Handbook for more series details and rules for this event.

Please sign these documents before 12:00 pm Friday August 14th.

Hobie BOS – California Delta Winners

Final TourneyX.com Leaderboard: https://results.tourneyx.com/standings/6902

The competitors have had all their fished judged and the top 6 paid anglers are as follows:

1st Daniel Balaba – $3,280 Tournament of Champions Qualifier
2nd Pua Yang – $1,900 Tournament of Champions Qualifier
3rd John Myers – $1,250 Tournament of Champions Qualifier
4th Yenhoua Yang – $1,100
5th Dang Xiong – $1,000
6th David Borofka – $900

In a massive run on Day 1 with a 94.50″ limit, Daniel Balaba kept up his lead and sealed the win with a total limit 181.00″! We can’t wait to find out what his pattern was that kicked out a kicker fish from each day. His big bass on day 2 was 21.50″!

Coming up all the way from 19th place to 2nd place is Pua Yang who submitted the largest limit on Day 2 of 89.75″ and an event total of 167.00″. He had a tremendous fishing day even in the rain, lightning and ripping currents of the Delta. Fantastic performance Pua!

Our third place finisher, John Myers had a consistent limit which held him in the top 5 on day 1 leading into day 2. His combined total is 166.25″. Congratulations to you John Myers! You also have a ticket punched for the Tournament of Champions on the Tennessee River. Time to test your skills on a different river.

Our Bassin’ Big Bass Check goes to David Borofka with his 22.00″ toad caught earlier on Day 2!

Thank you to all our competitors and for showing your fishing skills on the California Delta!
